Uncontested Divorces The area of uncontested divorces is handled differently in Alberta than it is in other Provinces. In Alberta you can either represent yourself in court or be represented by a lawyer. This is because the Alberta Rules of Court do not allow you to be represented in the Court of Queen's Bench by an agent. However, we can assist you by preparing the necessary paperwork for you to file and advise you of the steps involved and their costs. This service is only available for uncontested divorces. If there are any issues to be decided in a court of law I do not recommend handling the case yourself.
